Classicality and Bell’s theorem

چکیده
Abstract A widespread view among physicists is that Bell’s theorem rests on an implicit assumption of “classicality,” in addition to locality. According this understanding, the violation inequalities poses no challenge locality, but simply reinforces fact quantum mechanics not classical. The paper provides a critical analysis view. First we characterize notion classicality probabilistic terms. We argue thus construed has nothing do with validity classical physics, nor probability theory, contrary what many believe. At same time, show additional premise theorem, mathematical corollary locality conjunction standard auxiliary assumptions Bell. Accordingly, any theory claims get around derivation by giving up classicality, give one those assumptions. As illustration this, look at two recent interpretations mechanics, Reinhard Werner’s operational and Robert Griffiths’ consistent histories approach, are claimed be local non-classical, identify which each them forced up. claim while Common Cause Principle violated, approach conspiratorial. Finally, relate these options idea realism, also often identified as theorem.

Expectation Value in Bells Theorem
We will demonstrate in this paper that Bell′s theorem (Bell′s inequality) does not really conflict with quantum mechanics, the controversy between them originates from the different definitions for the expectation value using the probability distribution in Bell′s inequality and the expectation value in quantum mechanics. We can not use quantum mechanical expectation value measured in experimen...
متن کاملClassicality in Quantum Mechanics
In this article we propose a solution to the measurement problem in quantum mechanics. We point out that the measurement problem can be traced to an a priori notion of classicality in the formulation of quantum mechanics. If this notion of classicality is dropped and instead classicality is defined in purely quantum mechanical terms the measurement problem can be avoided. We give such a definit...

This article is about the mathematics of ringing the changes. We describe the mathematics which arises from a real-world activity, that of ringing the changes on bells. We present Rankin’s solution of one of the famous old problems in the subject.
